While he was operating as the representative of AT-ASLAN, BASF's branch in Turkey, he entered the maritime industry by assuming the agency role of ships rented by BASF. Gaining experience in this field, Atako started citrus fruit transportation and in 1972, he became the agency of the Danish company MERCANDIA, and in 1975, he became the agency of the former East German Company conventional cargo line DEUTSCHE SEEREEDEREI ROSTOCK, which was later named DSR SENATOR LINES...
